New Starting Location - Hazel Light Rail Station parking lot (just past the Nimbus Winery on the opposite side of Folsom Blvd.). Changed due to activities at the Aquatic Center and local construction

Back by popular demand - truly a beginner or novice dirt ride. If you have only ridden your mountain bike a few times, this is the ride for you. The ride will begin at Hazel Light Rail and go along the east side of Lake Natoma along the dirt trails up to Folsom. The trails are mostly dirt, with some pavement. No long climbs - all the hills are short and not very high. It is a great place to start learning some shifting and braking skills in the dirt. Total ride length is 10 miles (5 miles up and 5 miles back). Ride will take about 2 hours with rests stops as needed along the way. We will have a quick rest break at Karen's Bakery at the halfway point.

We will meetup at 1:30 and be ready to roll at 1:45

Please bring a bike in good working order. This trail is also acceptable for hybrid bikes, in case you do not have a mountain bike. We can eat after the ride or not....(IN & Out)

Helmets are required for this ride and bring water. Also suggested you dress for the weather (warmly and wear full fingered gloves as well). RAIN, TORNADOES, FLOODS, SNOW, WIND, SLEET, OR HAIL WILL CANCEL THIS RIDE.

If you have any questions please call Lisa [masked]

Sprinkles or light showers won't cancel this ride. However, hard rain will rain on our mountain biking parade and will cancel. I may not have internet access a few hours before the ride so...questions??? call 849-4184

Hi you dirt riders. We have a grand total of 13 at this point. Cool! It's not going to rain. It may rain in the morning, but it will be clear for this ride. Just a bit muddy which is fun??? I think... Thanks for coming
