This is a late Sunday afternoon early Sunday evening ride around the trails of Granite Bay. Riders of all levels are encouraged to attend. No rider will be left behind. Depending on number of riders we may ride as one group or break into smaller groups. Please meet at the corner of Twin Rocks Rd and Boulder Rd. by 5pm the ride will leave promptly at 5:15. We will be riding approximately 5-8 miles depending on the stamina of the group. With the trails at Granite Bay there is always the option to go shorter as we generally loop back by the parking area several times during the ride. As always helmets are required and please bring water, a bike in good working condition and be prepared for a fun ride to end the weekend. For those that would like to extend the ride bring lights and we can ride into the night. Look forward to seeing you there.
I want to say thank you to the slow intermediate group for your patience while we were dealing with the injury during this evenings ride. I especially want to say thank you to Phred and Sharel for continuing on with the ride while I talked with the park rangers and fire department, and Christine for looking after Michael and keeping him calm while waiting for medical services to arrive.
On a brighter note we set a record for the Sunday evening ride with 20 riders in attendance. I hope everybody enjoyed what riding they were able to get in, as the trials at Granite Bay are in great shape after the recent rains. I hope everyone will be able to make it this next Sunday and I look forward to seeing you then.
