We will be teaming with FATRAC on this ride. For beginners and boomers (you should be comfortable with shifting/braking and hills) who are looking to ride a more slow and social pace. This is a moderate for beginners with some short, but challenging hills and is about 15 miles total. Should be comfortable riding 10 miles at a recreational pace. Remember, THIS RIDE IS FOR FUN and NOT INTENDED TO BE A RACE TRAINING RIDE.
This is a no rider left behind ride. We will stop at the top of all major hills to rest and catch our breath. We will take brakes as needed to ensure all riders are ready to continue. Meeting at 8:30, however we ride at 8:45. The plan is to ride for about 3 hours, including out to Dotons Pt.
All riders are expected to have mountain bikes in sound working condition. Not a trail for hybrid bikes. It is a good idea to have some supplies (spare tube, patch kit, pump, etc). Bring some water (there are several places along the way to refill) and a lite snack if you feel the need.
As always, HELMETS ARE REQUIRED! If you are unable to show up, please update your RSVP a minimum of 2 hours before the start time of the event. If running late or have questions please call me at [masked].
No Chris, I am still hosting this ride. Sorry for the confusion.
We'll see if my efforts to get my kids out on these trails are successful...
Phred, I think we're going to look for ya'all somewhere near Granite Beach or on the fire road between Cavitt and Granite Beach. I need to shoot a few pics at the TBF Ice Breaker swim.
Whoever was in the black honda you left gloves on the trunk of your car and they fell off as soon as you left the parking lot...I picked them up and brought them home with me
Hey Phred, are you no longer hosting this ride?
