Cavitt Junior High School (map)
For beginners and boomers (you should be comfortable with shifting/braking and hills) who are looking to ride a more slow and social pace. This is a moderate for beginners with some short, but challenging hills and is about 15 miles total. Should be comfortable riding 10 miles at a recreational pace. Remember, THIS RIDE IS FOR FUN and NOT INTENDED TO BE A TRAINING RIDE OR A RACE.
This is a no rider left behind ride and will be swept. We will stop at the top of all major hills to rest and catch our breath. We will take breaks as needed to ensure all riders are ready to continue. Meeting at 8:30, however we ride at 8:45. The plan is to ride for about 3 hours, including out to Dotons Pt.
All riders are expected to have mountain bikes in sound working condition. Not a trail for hybrid bikes. It is a good idea to have some supplies (spare tube, patch kit, pump, etc). Bring some water (there are several places along the way to refill) and a lite snack if you feel the need.
As always, HELMETS ARE REQUIRED! If you are unable to show up, please update your RSVP a minimum of 2 hours before the start time of the event. If running late or have questions please call me at [masked].
Phred...the location disapeared... I remember that it is at Cavitt Stillman HS....I think...
Thx Lisa, I must have accidently deleted it. All better now.
Your welcome. Whew....you scared me....I thought you were gonna make us guess....Just because Otis can't go doesn't mean we don't want to go. Phred will be there.
Lisa, you just had to bring up that dude didn't you. sheesh. Them skinny tired folks need to stay out of the way.
Rain, rain - go away - come again another day. Make it stop Phred.
We laugh at rain. Rain is suppose to stop later this morning. So we may start in the rain, but should stop shortly after. Ride is not canceled.
Phred. That's the spirit! Maybe it will be just you and me this morning in the rain. Looking forward to it.
Will has agreed to help host the ride. Thx Will! :o)
