The Sacramento Area Mountain Bike Assn. annual meeting and cocktail party is set for Saturday, March 20 at 6 p.m.
SAMBA has been working hard to legalize off-pavement riding along the American River Parkway.
The following is from HW member and SAMBA President Bob Horowitz:
The annual SAMBA meeting and party is scheduled for March 20 this year. That’s a Saturday and the vernal equinox. So we can celebrate spring while crushing a few of my favorite winter fruits.
As per usual we’ll do the SAMBA board meeting at 6 p.m. and start the party around 7. I should have some more info by then about our progress toward legal riding on the lower American River Parkway . I am now working with the county on implementation of the Parkway Plan which was adopted last year. These things always take longer than I want; SAMBA is teaching us all patience!!
Location: The Horowitz house at 1240 Dolores Way in Sacramento, on the corner of M street. Caveat: Dolores Way is now permit parking only. Don’t get busted. Park on M Street or you could get a ticket. Hey, none of that was my idea. Board meeting, like I said, starts at 6. Party usually starts around 7 and goes until ??? Hope to see you there. Check our web site for updates and related info."
SAMBA needs your support to help legalize off-road riding along the American River. You can learn more about SAMBA and even join by going to their website: http://www.sustainabl...
And by the way, helmets are not required for this event, unless you intend to over-indulge.
P.S. I'll be out of town so I won't be there. So ya'll have fun without me.
