Our May 8th - 14th Moab, Utah mountain bike trip is now just 6-weeks away!!!!
As of right now, with "Yes" and "Maybe" RSVP's, we're looking at about 30 people going. It should be quite a party (with riding too!). It's not too late to come with us. Note - It's up to you whether you go for the entire trip, less days, or more days.
See the below thread and calendared event info below @ http://mtb.hammerinwh...
This will be the second of three meetings we'll have prior to the trip. The last meeting will be the week before we leave. You should attend this meeting if you plan on going or are just thinking about going.
If you're going on this trip or thinking about it - when RSVPing for this meeting, please indicate if you're looking to rideshare and/or cabin/tent/?? share.
The meeting will allow us to discuss the trip and get to know each other better (for people newer to the group). Those considering carpooling or cabin/tent sharing will be able to talk/meet with others to help determine expectations and compatibility, etc.
Over pizza and drinks, we'll again discuss the following briefly, then get some details and specifics nailed down (among other things): Everything covered at the last meeting was included in the Moab message thread so we won't spend much time going over the same things as last time.
* T-Shirts/Jerseys
* Travel plans/carpooling/caravaning (some people are leaving Friday, etc..)
* Travel Route
* Travel safety and communications
* Accommodations in Moab
* Daily activity ideas (MTBing, River Rafting, Hiking, etc.)
* Meals/BBQ's/Night Life
* Utah alcohol laws, BYOB's, etc..
* Bike and equipment suggestion/recommendations
* First Aid/Emergency Contact Info (If you don't have a Road ID or something similar, please get onesoon!)
This trip is recommended for strong beginners and above. There will be trails to ride for those of all abilities. If you're new to mountain biking and fairly athletic, getting to the strong beginner level is easy - get out on some of our rides and consider taking a mountain biking class (from Total Body Fitness or REI). One of our organizers or stronger riders can let you where you're at (level-wise).
Get the time off and reserve your cabin or campsite now!

Hey YES RSVPers...We are tossing around the idea of having tshirts/Jerseys printed up, but we don't have a design or shirt style nailed down yet. Can I get a head count of those of you that would even be interested... if yes...advise if you want Tshirt, TeK style or Jersey, size. Please respond ASAP. Thanks. P.S. Bryan may send out a similar email about this, so sorry if you are asked twice. See Message thread for latest designs and provide feedback. 30 days!!! :)
Me too. Tech shirt or a jersey, whatever the consensus agrees with as long as it's not all orange or yellow!
I only have use for a Jersey probably in the XL size...depends on the cut. Would be nice to know or try on the mfr. of the jersey. and the image we would be using.
can someone post what was discused for the people who wear not able to attend.
This link is probably the best all around video showing the many sides of the SlickRock Trail in Moab. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hmDZUY5kGdw&playnext_f...![]()

Vida, I'll have to check those videos out. Here is a really good website that I have been checking out for awhile about rides in Utah. This guy has lots on info: http://www.utahmountainbiking.com/![]()
Oh man! I just get a big Ol' grin on my face while watching those videos. I can't wait to go!!!
I found a lot of over 20 Fox jersey's on Craigslist and a bunch of pads for every body part imaginable.
Selling for what I paid for them all sizes, alot of new gear for cheap.
I'll have it all with me.
