Meet at Starbucks on the N/E intersection of Green Valley Rd & Francisco Dr at 9:30 am. There are two Starbucks in this shopping center. We're meeting at the main one by the waterfalls (not the one in the Safeway). Parking is limited at the pipe gate, so we'll need to carpool to the Sweet Water trailhead, which is hard to find if you don't know were it is (on Salmon Falls Rd about 4-miles north of Green Valley Rd). The ride will start at 10 am.
This is NOT a beginner ride. This ride is for strong beginners and intermediate riders. The entire intended route will be about 10-15 miles depending on how we are doing. The trail can be very strenuous and technical in a few places.
Please bring a bike in good mechanical condition, spare tubes (no patch kits), plenty of water and snacks. Helmets are required.
Please call me if you're running late or have any questions Phred [masked] or Terry [masked]
Oh yeah! I can transport bodies, too. Waa Aaa Aaa! (scary laugh)
I can take 2 bikes and 5 people plus gear in my jeep if someone else has a tech to haul bikes.
You guys are all so fabulous. Thanks for volunteering vehicles so readily to make carpooling easy on Sunday. Should be a fun ride!!
Terry, thanks for the email. I'd like to go, but think I'll probably do Daphni and Larry's ride in Ione. I need to get road miles in for Pardee Party.
I know Phred, a road ride, you'll forgive me won't you?! I much rather be out there with you guys in th dirt! It's all Sharel and Jinni's fault! Hey, you have any GB rides coming up? Miss you guys...
hey nathan, everyone's doing this ride. you wanna skip SRT and crash this ride instead?
@ Shep and Nathan - you guys are toooo funny! Glad to have you both along!
OK now that the Kim's are opting for the Roadie ride, we can relax.
Anyone want to carpool from Rocklin/Roseville/GB area? I have room for 2 extra bikes or I can give you cash for gas if you have room for me. It doesn't matter to me.
This sounds like fun but need to get some road miles in. Hope you do this again.
BTW, several of those who have RSVP'd are also going to MBO in July. May want to take the opportunity chat (or not) during the ride.
@ Mario - Make sure you tire yourself out on Saturday's ride, so Sunday will be a "recovery" ride for you and we'll have a chance to keep up with you :)
I have a truck and can hold 3-4 bikes.
