Pictured to the left is the JAVA WRECKING CREW..........Lets meet at the Starbucks and get a drink and finalize the details of the ride. I would like to spend 2-3 hours on the ride and will include any part of the FORESTHILL DIVIDE LOOP TRAIL system. Past rides have been in the 10-13 mile range and took about 3 hours. If a very industrious group shows up we could end up on the Confluence Trail. I want to start the ride by 10:00am. I would encourage strong beginners and up to come along. This ride will be at a social pace and we will gather up at the top of the climbs and usual forks in the trails to catch our breath and make sure everyone is ready to continue. This is not a training or race pace ride it is intended to be a fun ride. I would like to put together a regular weekday morning ride so feedback on a day or time that works better for you would be appreciated. I realize the turnouts may be small due to work issues but this can work out to our advantage in terms of developing riding skills and the ability to do re-rides in sections. This will be a no rider left behind ride. All riders are expected to have mountain bikes in sound working condition. Not a trail for hybrid bikes. Please bring a spare tube (not a patch kit) and water (more than 12 ozs) and a light snack if like. As always, HELMETS ARE REQUIRED. If you are unable to show up, please update your RSVP a minimum of 2 hours before the start time of the event. Heavy rain will cancel, light rain will not. Check the calender for updates a few hours before the ride. If you have any questions or are running behind call Scott at [masked] Happy Trails
Hey, Mickey...long time no see! :-) I would offer to carpool, but I've down-graded to a 2 door coupe with no bike rack...Lol. I couldn't maintain my gas budget driving the truck...swapped with the Wifey since she only has a 5 min commute. Glad to see u on the mighty FDLT rides :-))
@Scott...thnx again!! C my text??? I changed my mind and did a "sunset" ride on the Connector. Didn't quite make it to the bench...got a little dark for my liking. I started hearing animals shuffling around in the trees and shrubbery. I had a good, quick 4 mile ride out and back. Still worth it though!!!! :-))
We could still carpool... I have room for 3 maybe 4 bikes. It's about 40 miles up there and back (from Roseville/Rocklin) so it's worth it to carpool. Ideally it'd be in a low emission, fuel efficient car but mine is better than taking two (or more) cars.
Kool...just let me know the best place to meetup! Thnx :-))
Carpool with Somebody...
Meet me at Barnes and Noble at the Galleria Mall (or more precisely across from it)
I had to switch to Thursday this week..Its my 20th Anniversary and the Wife has the day off!
Looking forward to the ride! Sly Park was "tricky" I think that means "technical" it was really fun and challenging! Had my first wipe out- but at least I or my bike didn't go into the lake! LOL!
Kathy, glad you are OK...it's not if it's gonna happen, it's when! Sounds like you have fun though :-) Yesterday, I took a spill myself in Granite Bay...Lol :-)
See ya Thursday.
@ Mikey...Abra-kadabra its magic.... actually I goofed and you signed up before I got it corrected...you are way too fast!!
